Savannah State has a football team?
That might have been the reaction from some Noles fans upon hearing Wednesday who will replace West Virginia on the 2012 football schedule.
FSU announced that Savannah State -- a team that went 1-10 last year and was outscored 31 points per game -- will take the Mountaineers' spot.
Now the Noles have two FCS schools on its schedule, the other being Murray State.
Florida State impressively routed North Carolina State 76-62 Saturday to complete a clean road sweep of the "Tobacco Road" teams from the ACC.
The Noles never saw their lead go below double digits in the second half. NC State had just come off blowing a 20-point lead at Duke and looked like it had quite recovered.
For the game the hosts shot just 29 per cent and turned it over 17 times. The Noles shot a shade below 50 per cent led by Ian Miller's 17 points. Bernard James scored 12 among four FSU players in double figures.
FSU stays atop the ACC standings (10-2) with the win.
Michael Snaer's 3-pointer with 2.6 seconds left boosted No. 20 Florida State to a 48-47 victory over Virginia Tech on Thursday night, capping a wild finish that kept the Seminoles in a first-place tie in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Florida State trailed 45-37 with 1:29 left in the game, but Virginia Tech missed 5 of 6 free throw attempts over the final 1:09 to leave the door open for Snaer's heroics from the right side of the court.
Snaer, who had made only 3 of his 10 previous shots, hit the game-winner from nearly the identical spot he produced similar heroics in Florida State's 76-73 win at Duke on Jan. 21. Ian Miller's 3 from the corner with 44 seconds left got the Seminoles within 47-45.
Virginia Tech (14-12, 3-8) had a chance to take a two-possession lead when Jarell Eddie was fouled grabbing an offensive rebound with 10.2 seconds left. But he began to cramp up. Robert Brown was selected to take the free throws and missed both.
Erick Green led Virginia Tech with 18 points and was nearly fouled as he launched a last-second desperation shot that bounced off the rim as the buzzer sounded.
Green scored seven points that keyed a 17-0 Virginia Tech run to start the second half and the Hokies had a 40-25 lead with 14:09 left on Brown's only field goal in the game.
Miller led Florida State (18-7, 9-2) with 11 points and Snaer had nine to help the Seminoles, who have won nine of 10 and caught North Carolina in the ACC standings. Duke went into a late game Thursday against North Carolina State one-half game behind the Tar Heels and Seminoles.
Florida State shot 40 percent from the field.
The Hokies shot just 32.7 percent in the game and were beaten 41-31 on the boards.
The Seminoles, who led 25-23 at halftime, are 17-0 this season when leading at the break and 6-0 at home in the conference where they have won 13 of their last 14 games dating to last season.

The #15 ranked Florida State Seminoles (17-7, 8-2 ACC) defeat their in-state/conference rival Miami (15-8, 6-4 ACC) by the score of 64-59. The win for the Noles marks the 11th time in last 12 meetings that Florida State has taken home the win in this historic rivalry.
Bernard James led the Noles with 16 points, and Michael Snaer followed with 12 points. The Hurricanes came into the game shooting 36% from the three point arc, but had a bad night from distance shooting 5-22 (22%).
Miami was not able to create the same magic that led to back-to-back wins against #7 Duke and Virginia Tech as their season high six game winning streak comes to an end. The Canes have dropped their last six games in Tallahassee against the Noles dating back to 2006.
A game that featured nine ties and twelve lead changes was close throughout as the first half came to a close with the Noles holding onto a two point lead. Florida State has not lost a game all season when leading at the half (16-0).
The Noles began to pull away mid-way in the second half after Miami had closed the Noles lead to 38-37. Florida State went on a 12-2 run to make the score 50-40, lead by Ian Miller who scored six of those 12 on two three-pointers.
The Canes would fight back late in the second half getting to within three points, but the Canes would not have a lead for the last 27 minutes of the contest.
Kenny Kadji would lead the Canes with 14 points and six rebounds.
The Seminoles have now won eight of their last nine games, and will host Virginia Tech on Thursday night.
